Fans of Jonny Quest do not limit themselves to watching (and re-watching) the episodes, or reading the comic books, or speculating on forums about the likelihood of our heros ever making it to the big screen. No, they also collect! As seen on other pages of this site there is a surprising amount of Jonny Quest memorabilia out there, and quite a few resulting collections. Here are a few of them.

NOTE: If you have a collection that you'd like to share with us, whether large or small, please send your images, along with a few words about your collection. Here are a few questions to help you along:
  • How long have you been collecting JQ?
  • What was the first item you collected?
  • Do you have a particular set of criteria for items you want to collect?
  • Is there something special on your "to collect" list?

Eric Torstenson

Here are some pictures from Eric, along with his replies to our questions.
  • How long have you been collecting JQ? I started collecting JQ in 1999.
  • What was the first item you collected? The first item I collected was an beat up, (reader copy to say the most! lol!!) of the Gold Key One shot at an antique store. That rekindled my fire for the love JQ.
  • Do you have a particular set of criteria for items you want to collect? I surmise I started collecting for Nostalgia purposes. I had such fun memories of my Father and I watching reruns on Sunday morning of Jonny Quest. Always one of my Father's favorite cartoons. No real criteria for collector. Beside really trying to find the highest grades or conditions of anything pertaining to old school JQ. Was not/am not a fan of any of the reinvented JQ cartoons or movies.
  • Is there something special on your "to collect" list? I own the 3 highest graded Gold Key books as seen in the picture. There are two other CGC 9.4s out there, but they only have off white page quality. So always on my list is is trying to find a CGC 9.6 copy. Also would be striving to find a Mint Transogram game. I own 6 JQ Transos the one I have displayed is basically NM.
